  • Arrive in Auckland airport
  • Short walk to Auckland domestic terminal
  • Flight Auckland-Christchurch
  • Night in Christchurch

  • (DAY 2)
  • Drive Christchurch-Tekapo (3.5 hrs)
  • ➢ Lake Tekapo - The stunning Lake Tekapo is worth stopping for a picturesque by day and dazzling by night with snow-peaked mountains behind the turquoise-blue Lake Tekapo. Its almost unreal milky blue colour comes from the glacial sediment left behind from a retreating glacier. Visit from mid-November to November to see the blue and purple lupin flowers in bloom.
  • Drive Tekapo-Mt Cook (1 hr)
  • ➢ Aoraki Mount Cook National Park is home of the highest mountains and the longest glaciers in New Zealand. It is alpine in the purest sense - with sky scraping peaks, glaciers and permanent snow fields, all set under a star-studded sky.
  • ➢ Lunch stop at High Country Salmon Farm - Enjoy the freshest salmon in New Zealand, feed the fish or just enjoy a scenic cafe stopover on your travels.
  • ➢ Lake Pukaki - Picture stop at Lake Pukaki - the largest of three roughly parallel alpine lakes running north-south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin on New Zealand's South Island.
  • ➢ Hooker Valley Tracks (30 mins return walking track to first bridge) - Walking one of the tracks is the best way to experience this ancient landscape. The track leads up the Hooker Valley and along the Hooker River, ending at the glacier lake, where there are amazing views of Aoraki/Mount Cook on a clear day. Along the way you will cross three swing bridges and encounter picturesque icebergs, glaciers and majestic mountains that will have you reaching for your camera at every turn.

  • Night in Twizel

  • (DAY 3)
  • Drive Twizel-Te Anau (4hrs) via Queenstown

  • ➢ Te Anau town - Souvenir shopping at Simply New Zealand, one of the best places in NZ to get souvenirs
